2009 Fishing Derby for Kids

Sponsored by the Department of Argiculture's Divions of Aquatic and Wildlife Resources
in Cooperation with the National Park Service.

When: 1st Derby Saturday July 11, 2009 7:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

2nd Derby Saturday August 22, 2009 7:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Where: War in the Pacific Historical Park, Asan.

Sign up Deadline: 5 p.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2009 for the first derby

5 p.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2009 for the second derby.

Registration: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the DAWR admin office across from Price Elementary School

Important Information

  • For Kids Ages 7-12 as of July 11, 2009
  • Free for kids ages 7-12. Limited to the first 75 registrants per day.
  • Provide original birth certificate, passport, military or Guam I.D. Copies and faxes will not be accepted.
  • All Participants must meet at canopied area no later than 7:30am on the day of the derby
  • All participants must attend the 20-minute safety briefing held at 7:30 a.m. on the day of the derby. Failure to attent the safety briefing will result in immediate disqualification.
